About The Montana Dog Lady

I’m excited to be participating in your dog training experience in the Gallatin Valley. I have been training dogs since my pre-teen and teenage years when I worked with a golden retriever in the 4H obedience program. In my adult years, I have trained two dogs to a CD and CDX level in obedience competition. For a number of years, I used my dogs in therapy and as unofficial service dogs for some developmentally disabled adults that I worked with. Additionally, I have done some herding with my dogs, and currently have a dog (Belle) who is a flyball Champion and is titled in agility.

I became involved in agility about three years ago. I have since trained two dogs to competitive levels and currently have two dogs, Belle and Rasta, that I'm working. I love working with dogs, and doing agility, and sharing my love of dogs and training with the friends I have made.

Let me tell you why I do this! True joy comes from the journey of forming a true partnership with your dog. This partnership is fun and positive and touches all aspects of life. The training style I have developed looks for success which we can reward, rather than looking for mistakes and opportunities for corrections. It makes training so much more fun and SUCCESSFUL. I love watching people and dogs learning new things and sharing their excitement when the training ‘comes together’.
